Telephone wires and jacks can last for many years, but everyday wear and tear can damage telephone wires and jacks inside your home. Damage can occur from activities such as home repair, someone accidentally cutting a wire, an animal scratching through a wire, something knocking a jack loose, or other unforeseen events. The fee you pay for your basic telephone service does not cover these types of repairs.
When you subscribe to Iowa Telecom's Line Care Service (formerly Inside Wire Maintenance), you won't have to pay for additional costly repairs to inside telephone wires or jacks. This optional service is available with a small monthly fee and can be discontinued at any time. Please note that the Line Care Service Plan will go into effect 30 days after it has been added to your account.
