We make ordering your basic telephone service as easy as we can. First, decide which type of service you need and any optional calling services you want to try. Find out more about some of the time-saving products and services that are available.
You will be asked to provide the following information when applying for new telephone service. Be sure you know the answers before you call to ensure prompt service.
1. Your street address.
2. Credit information -- If you have not already established a credit history with Iowa Telecom, a deposit may be required. After one year of timely payments, your deposit will be refunded to you with interest.
3. The type of basic telephone service you need (i.e. Residential, Business, Local Calling Plan)
4. Additional calling services you want (i.e. Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Long Distance)
5. How you want your name to appear in the White Pages of the telephone directory. Your initial listing is free.
6. Information about your previous service.
