Don't Miss Important Calls

ADDITIONAL LINE & ANSWER ANYWHERE

Eliminate the busy signals with an Additional Line. Get another line for your growing business, talkative teen, or to allow talking on the phone and being online with dial-up internet at the same time. Ask about the availability of a discounted second line at your location.

Never miss another call with Answer Anywhere. Program up to four numbers to ring at the same time. You can program your work phone, cell phone, home phone and another line, so you'll never miss another important incoming phone call. Press *88 to activate, deactiveate, or make changes.


CALL WAITING / CALL WAITING ID


Call Waiting
Receive incoming calls while you're already on the phone and switch to the second call without losing the first.

  • When you're on a call and someone else is trying to reach you, you'll hear a special tone. Only you will hear the tone.
  • If you want to answer the second call, press and release the "flash" button (or the hookswitch) to answer the second call. 
  • This will put the first caller on hold while you answer the second call. 
  • To return to the first call, press and release the "flash" button (or the hookswitch) again.

To temporarily turn off Call Waiting:

  • Press *70.
  • Listen for three tones followed by a normal dial tone. 
  • Dial the phone number you wish to call.
  • Call Waiting is automatically reactivated when you hang up.

Call Waiting ID
See the name and number of a second incoming call before you answer it to decide whether or not you want to interrupt your first call. 

  • When you hear the Call Waiting tone, check your Call Waiting ID display to see who is calling.
  • If you want to take the call, press and release the "flash" button (or the hookswitch).
  • This will put the first caller on hold while you answer the second call.
  • Call Waiting ID service requires a Call Waiting ID compatible display device that can be purchased at various retail stores, or a telephone that contains this feature. This equipment is different from a standard Caller ID device. 

CALL FORWARDING

You don't have to sit at home and wait beside the phone for important phone calls; instead, forward your calls to a selected local, long distance or wireless number. 

Call Forwarding -- Variable
Forward all incoming calls to any telephone number you choose. You can still make outgoing calls while Call Forwarding is in effect.

  • Press 72#.
  • Enter the telephone number where you want your incoming calls forwarded to. 
  • Two short tones verify Call Forwarding is activated.
  • A short ring on your phone each time a call is forwarded reminds you Call Forwarding is active.
  • To cancel, Press 73#. 
  • You will hear two short tones followed by a normal tone; this will indicate Call Forwarding is deactivated.
  • You will need to repeat these steps each time you wish to forward calls.

Call Forwarding -- No Answer
Forward incoming calls to a fixed telephone number if your line is not answered after 4 rings (the number of rings can be adjusted).

  • The Call Forward number is a fixed telephone number you select at the time you order the service. 
  • To change that number, you will need to call our Customer Service Center.

Call Forwarding -- Busy
Forward incoming calls to a fixed telephone number if your line is busy because you're either talking on the phone or surfing the Internet with dial-up service.

  • The Call Forward number is a fixed telephone number you select at the time you order the service. 
  • To change that number, you will need to call our Customer Service Center
  • If you also subscribe to Call Waiting, you must first deactivate Call Waiting to enable Call Forwarding -- Busy. 

Special Call Forwarding
Forward calls from specific numbers to a different telephone number. Use it for those critical calls you don't want to miss; the rest of the calls will ring through.

  • Select up to 12 different numbers that you would like forwarded.
  • Press *63.
  • Follow the voice commands.

CALL RETURN *69

You can't always reach the phone in time to answer it but you can find out who called, and if you choose, automatically dial the telephone number of the last call received.

  • To find the number of your last caller, press *69.
  • Blocked numbers will not be announced.
  • To return the call, follow the voice prompts.
  • If the line is busy, you will be alerted with a special ring when the line becomes available.

SPECIAL CALL ACCEPTANCE

Receive only the calls you want.

  • To only receive calls from specific numbers, press *64.
  • Follow the voice prompts to enter up to 12 numbers from which you would like to accept calls.
  • For all other calls, a recorded message will say you are not accepting calls at this time.

VIP ALERT

Give up to 12 specific numbers a special ring. When you hear the distinctive ring, you'll know it's someone on your VIP screening list.   

  • Press *61.
  • Follow the voice prompts.

VOICE MAIL
